The Actiris Coordination Platform was officially launched in Brussels, concluding the conceptualization phase!
Brussels - Actiris, IOM and DG REFORM held the launching event of the Actiris Coordination Platform on the 24th of November 2021, in Brussels. The event was attended by several organizations which are active in the field of labour market integration in the Brussels-Capital Region. The attendees learned more about the Platform’s structure and functions and participated in a workshop in which they could start reflecting with their peers on their expectations, needs and potential contributions. In this workshop, they had the opportunity to register to one or more Thematic Committees that will form the heart of the Platform where exchanges and collaborations between members will take place. The launching event concluded the conceptualization phase of the Actiris Coordination Platform (ACP). The Platform consists of an in-person and digital component and aims at strengthening coordination and synergies between relevant actors to improve the labour market integration of newcomers in the Brussels-Capital Region (BCR). The conceptual specifications of the Platform were finalized and documented in a user-friendly, detailed “Guide Booklet”, available in French, Dutch and English. The entire concept of the Platform, co-created with interested stakeholders over the last 18 months, is flexible and adaptable to the needs from the field and the capacity of its future members. The Booklet includes information on the governance structure of the ACP, as well as on the digital and in person components. In addition, it also includes a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), as well as a detailed Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) plan to ensure quality and sustainability of the Platform for its members. Please see our main page for more information!
We would kindly like to thank Actiris and DG REFORM for their collaboration and support during the project as well as all the stakeholders who have co-created the Actiris Coordination Platform for their efforts and insights. We would also like to thank everyone who attended this event and for making it the success it was!
The upcoming next steps consist in the implementation by Actiris of the in-person and digital components of the Platform. Actiris will consolidate the Platform governance layers while IOM will provide support in the initial follow-up and monitoring and act as a third-party mediator between the participating stakeholders.
Through the Technical Support Instrument (formerly Structural Reform Support Programme), IOM Belgium supports Actiris in cooperation with the European Commission Directorate General for Structural Reform Support.
