Register for the Closing Conference on Alternative Care for Unaccompanied Migrant Children!
IOM Belgium and Luxembourg, together with our implementing partners are organising the Closing Conference that will mark the completion of the activities developed and implemented throughout the U-CARE "Unaccompanied Children in Alternative residence" project (2021-2022).
Join us to know more about how alternative care for unaccompanied migrant children (UMC) can be improved on local, national and regional level.
Through an overview of U-CARE's lessons learned, testimonies and an exchange of best practices, you will get a more detailed view on the role of family-based care, culture-sensitive capacity building and recruitment as well as alternative care systems, such as self-advocacy support groups, holistic housing models and mentorship in strengthening the protection of UMC.
