BE with U: Technical Support to Public Services in Belgium for the Welcoming and Integration of Persons Displaced by the Crisis in Ukraine is a joint initiative which supports public services in Belgium and the Walloon region for the welcoming and integration of Ukraine displaced persons. Since the onset of the crisis in Ukraine, public services in Belgium have faced an unprecedented influx of displaced persons. Displaced people from Ukraine are granted Temporary Protection status at the federal level but are received and assisted by numerous public services, local networks and organizations in different regions in Belgium. 

Objectives

The objective of the project is to develop a coordination mechanism at the federal level and in the Walloon region between the stakeholders providing support and protection to Ukrainian displaced people. The project is divided into two streams, each with specific partners and a geographical area:

This project is funded by the European Union via the Technical Support Instrument and implemented by IOM, in cooperation with the European Commission between June 2022 until June 2023.
