Every year migrants like Baboucarr make the difficult decision to leave family behind in search of a better future, sometimes finding themselves alone in risky situations and without the means to return to safety.

In the framework of our Belgian Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration Programme (AVRR) and with the support of Fedasil, Baboucarr was able to safely return home and benefit from psychosocial support, family mediation and setting up a small business to reintegrate in The Gambia and generate an income for his family.
